This playset from the early 90’s is a bit different from other items in my collection. Instead of a “head case” holding figures inside, this has the miniature figures assembled around, and even on, the larger head figure.
This set was originally distributed via vending machines. (You put in a quarter, but instead of a gumball, you got a toy piece). The collection consists of 10 separate pieces – Scooby and his pals, the “large” ghoul head, and four base pieces naming the main characters. The pieces interconnect via tabs and slots to form the full display (approx. 4″ x 3″).
